We have a difficulty here in that Jehovah's Witness are effectively programmed not to listen to anything outside of the organisation the, 'faithful and discrete slave.'
The appeal must be to Scripture. In Jude Chapter 1 verse 3 we read:
'Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God's holy people.
How can you contend for the faith if you don't know what the other person believes?
Again consider Proverbs Chapter 12 verse 15 'Fools always think their own way is best, but wise people listen to what others tell them.'
If you want to follow Scripture then listen to others. You don't have to agree with them and, if you are right, your faith will be strengthened by listening.
Below is a link to a series of talks which are quite amazing. Yes, they are rather old and yes, some are not of the highest quality. We make no excuse for this because the content is excellent. Listen to what others have to say and then make your own mind up.
